Devendra "Talon" Sakay

I specialize in population-related data and exploring the cultural nuances of Filipino Americans in south Texas. Currently a graduate student at The University of California, Los Angeles, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Asian American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em!)Outside of research and academia, I love hooping up on outdoor courts, hilarious attempts at karaoke with my family, and getting lost in video games. I’m also a lifelong Fujifilm enthusiast and leveraged my camera passion into opportunities to teach photography to underserved youth in Guwahati, India and Manila, Philippines.
